So it ends on chapter 285? But then the author decided to make more chapters and it actually ends on chapter 300? I just started reading 286 and it makes all sense that it continues because if 285 was the actual final chapter… Then, honestly, it wouldn’t make any sense lol

But anyway, now that I’m almost over with the manga, is it worth it to watch the anime? Is the anime loyal to the manga and worth watching or not?

Due to drop in ratings back when it was a weekly Jump series, it was cut off abruptly with chapter 285. Years later, the author was given the opportunity to continue it & give it its proper end, starting from re-doing ch 286. The “Perfect Edition” known as KZB was a reprint of the whole series w/ touch-ups & some redraws included along with the true final chapters.

The anime aired for only 64 episodes. It pretty much followed the series until about the search for Patch Village. Then becomes a monster of its own. It’s funny to watch cuz it gets so silly. But the end is not too great.

also 4kids dub of the anime makes it extra hilariously stupid & I had a lot of fun watching it but that’s just me
